The Power of the Cross

Paul was first concerned with divisions in the church over certain men, all of whom were good men. Paul's concern was that the church understand that it was not the wisdom and eloquence of the preacher, but the power of God via the cross that was the saving factor. God's servants were merely the mouth pieces by whom the saving message of the cross was conveyed.
