The Ark: A Type of Christ

Peter said the Ark is a "like figure" (1 Peter 3:21). Here's one way, the Ark typifies rest in Christ. God instructed Noah to build "rooms" or resting places. Hebrews describes Christ as "rest" (Hebrews 4:1-9). Also, the Ark typifies spiritual security. Noah covered the Ark with "pitch within and without". As water couldn't reach Noah in the Ark, judgement can't reach those in Christ.
