Resurrected Covenant

Aim: To be revived in our love for Christ.

Doctrine: The church must now re-own gospel truth. The problem is not (primarily) one of historical/creedal belief; the problem is the lack of living (or resurrection) faith.

Exegesis: How the church is to regain its rightful heritage: through a resurrection of the fear of God's wonders (vv. 1-5), wrath (vv. 6-8), and withdrawal (vv. 9-13).

Further application: How Easter truth encourages God's children: I am reminded of my atonement's awful cost, and I am reminded of the amazing power of God.

Key verse: v. 2 ''Hear the words of this covenant, and speak to the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.''
