“Holy Tunnel Vision!” Those Crazy Corinthians! Part 19 (1 Corinthians 4:1-5)
1) The main responsibility of God’s steward is to faithfully handle the Bible. The Pastor who cannot exposit the fundamentals of the Faith is not called by God. He is like a Fireman who can do everything except fight fires! (1 Corinthians 4:1-2;; Deuteronomy 17:14-20)
2) God will ultimately judge all believers righteously. We do not need to make quick judgments but correct those who claim to be Christian according to the Word. (1 Corinthians 4:3-5; 2 Corinthians 11:1-15)

5257 hypērétēs (from 5259 /hypó, "under" and ēressō, "to row") – properly, a rower (a crewman on a boat), an "under-rower" who mans the oars on a lower deck; (figuratively) a subordinate executing official orders, i.e. operating under direct (specific) orders.
