Obedience Not Sacrifice

this passage of Scripture teaches us that we need to obey God fully. Making excuses as to why we fail to carry out what God has commanded us, especially giving our failures a spiritual veneer, will not do. If the Word of God commands it we must, without making excuses, obey it. Samuel's devastating riposte to Saul should be our watchword. "Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams."
