Christ holds you guilty for not following his covenants. (The Problem)
The difference is that Christ intercedes where you will could not obey as God expects. (The Correction)
a. Though God leads you, you cannot follow him on your own
i. It is just not humanly possible to obey.
ii. Disobedience Puts You at Enmity with God.
b. God MUST intervene by granting you the spirit of Christ.
i. The Spirit of Christ changes your perspective on God's law.
ii. The Spirit of Christ grants you a different relationship to God.
iii. The Spirit of Christ reconstructs your worldview.
Trust the better covenant for it is founded on better promises. (The Follow-Through)
