Objections To Unconditional Election Answered

If God chooses only some for salvation, not all, does that make Him unfair? What about man's "free will"? Doesn't the Bible say salvation is for "Whoever will"? If God chose sinners before time to be saved, and all of these will be saved, why evangelize then? If the elect will all be saved, should sinners then just wait to be zapped? Can it be known who is of "the elect"? Does this doctrine really matter, especially since it pertains to what happened before the world began and has been so divisive among Christians?
