The Heavens Are Astonished

Jeremiah is called upon to confront Israel and tell her that she has committed a great sin and that they have abandoned their God to worship not gods. Idolatry was a great sin for Israel for she knew the Living and True God and now has turned away from the true for the false gods of the nations. From Chittim to Kedar the nations of the gentile and unbelieving had not abandoned their gods but Israel abandoned her god. Now God calles upon the Heavens which declare his glory to be a testimony and a witness against Israel that they have left the glory of God , he that is the true fountain of life for the stagnate pool of false gods that have no life in them.
