Some conservatives call Trump the last great hope for America. Others have called him a dangerous man. A little humble repentance would have helped his reputation among Christians. Is there any hope for America? Are these brave slogans about making America great just a bunch of hot air? We take a look at the rising pessimism among conservative talk show hosts, comparing it to the optimism that needs to characterize Christians. Conservatives want immigration controls, school uniforms for kids, and more Cicero and less Michael Moore in the public schools. Of course, none of that will ever salvage the republic.
