Alive from the Dead

When we become a Christian a great change takes place. In our unconverted state we were living in sin, and were dead to God. Symptoms of our new birth will include that the Bible becomes important to us, we will have a love for other Christians, desiring their spiritual progress. We will demonstrate a care for the suffering church around the world, and will have a desire for the Gospel's progress.

We cannot be made spiritually alive without God's power in us, which is only made possible through the quickening work of the Holy Spirit.

In our sinful state we may cry - "who can help me?". Our help comes as we see Jesus, God's own Son, who took our sin upon Himself. Having repented of our sin we can then know the forgiveness and pardon which the Lord Jesus alone can give.
