On the first half of the program today, I will speak with Mindy Belz - editor of WORLD Magazine about their 2010 Daniel of the Year award. This year, World selected, Dr. Richard S. Bransford. Dr. Bransford, who is currently working in Kenya has also recently received international recognition for his work including; : An American Medical Association Excellence in Medicine Award and the American College of Surgeons 2010 Surgical Humanitarian Award.

In her article about Dr. Bransford, Mindy Belz writes, "In choosing Bransford we seek also to pay tribute to other medical missionaries—professionals around the world who long ago chose to forgo healthcare debates, malpractice dilemmas, and risk management seminars in order to serve the underprivileged, the neglected, the war torn, and the lost."

On the second half of the program today, I will speak with Steve Saint - son of martyred Auca missionary Nate Saint. Steve is the president of Indigenous People's Technology and Education Center (I-TEC).

The mission of I-TEC is to "develop, produce and distribute unique tools and training for frontier areas. Train and equip indigenous God-followers to care for the physical and spiritual needs of their people. Build bridges of understanding and partnership between Christian churches in developed nations and those in frontier areas"
