The Death Rattle Of The Papacy
Series Book of Revelation
At this point in the book of Revelation, we are entering the flower of the Protestant Reformation. Thus we hear the death rattle of the Papacy.
This passage shows the Bible as the open book, unchained from the monasteries, translated into the languages of the people, and Christ commissioning faithful ministers to preach it. The people thus cast off idolatrous, apostate Romanism and replaced it with Reformed churches constituted on the Word of God.
The book of Revelation teaches -- and history demonstrates -- that Roman Catholicism will continue to wither as it is exposed to the sunshine of the Gospel.
