The Confession of the Church
Series James for Young Churches
97
As James moves into chapter four he appears to turn on those he has called the beloved brethren, referring to them as adulterers and adulteresses. He ends with the verse that inspired the praise song Humble Thyself in the Sight of the Lord.
Pastor Stoos shows that James is giving the Church an important lesson about how brutally honest we must be in confessing our sin before a Holy God.
He gives many Biblical examples of being humbled and lifted up and shows the importance of having a time of confession in Covenant Renewal Worship each week.
