The Greatest of These Is Truth

"The greatest of the virtues is love," Dr. John Whitcomb told an annual church conference several years ago. He added, however, "The amazing thing to me is the vast confusion that prevails almost everywhere among God's people as to how love relates to truth. In the name of love, God's revelation, God's truth has been compromised almost out of recognition. One of Satan's greatest victories in this age is to pit love against truth." He explains that love is meant by God to exalt truth - not to compromise it. "Love is God's best way to make truth palatable, to enable people to respond to it better."
