Jesus is the Christ

The Old Testament predictions of the coming "anointed One" (the Messiah) were fulfilled in Jesus of Nazareth who was anointed ("anointed one" in Greek is "Kristos" and English is "Christ") with the Holy Spirit to equip him with power for the ministry of teaching, healing, and delivering. The triune God acted in harmony among the three divine persons, Father, Son and Spirit, to accomplish the salvation and ongoing sanctification of his people. It is no small thing that he has done.
