Christ: Our Sanctuary

Isaiah strongly warned of the invading armies of the Assyrians. The authorities thought making a league with their enemies would preserve peace and safety. Isaiah strenuously rejected this effort and foretold suffering and decline. In the midst of his warning he issued a wonderful and revealing prophecy concerning our Lord Jesus Christ. Saying, "he shall be our sanctuary", meant he would replace the Temple and provide safety. Look to Him!
