Devoted to Apostles' Doctrine

The apostles of Jesus were commissioned by him to teach the people all that he had taught them, both before and after his resurrection. The large group of 3,000 newly baptized believers met with the apostles to learn all they could from them about Christ. This oral instruction was later recorded in the apostolic writings that make up the New Testament. Both for them and us, the apostles' teaching (doctrine) is our sole authority for all that we as the Christian church believes and practices.
