Mercy To The Fearful

God is merciful to us, even when our faith is diminished by fear. Small or weak faith is indeed a sin, as God has given us every reason to trust Him in every circumstance. As Peter's brash confidence turns to fear in the storm, so our complacent self-reliance often becomes anxiety when we realize the enormity of our problems. Yet, even when we have sinfully ventured where we should not have gone, God is compassionate to save us from the consequences of our folly. God is merciful to us, even when we doubt Him.
