Drawing Straws for the 12th Apostle

Between the account of the Ascension of Jesus and the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost we have a short passage describing the first action by the new Church that Jesus has left behind to fill the earth with His Kingdom.
We see them select the 12th Apostle to replace Judas, using the Scriptures for their understanding and looking to the Lord for guidance with the casting of lots, a practice often seen in the Old Testament.
Pastor Stoos goes on to show how we are to learn the importance of being of one mind and constantly in prayer as we seek the Lord's will in our families, local churches, and the broader Body of Christ.
He discusses the proper Biblical view of Church unity using the 4th Chapter of Ephesians to show how we are to speak the truth in love, striving to protect the unity that has been given and working toward a greater unity that is promised.
