Strength For the Battle

The Christian life is a battle. Success is measured in faithful obedience to God’s commands. It’s important to wage this battle confident that we are loved by God, forgiven, and growing in grace as the years pass. “I write to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name'sake.” 1 John 2:12 (NKJV) God doesn’t want us to be immobilized by our spiritual defeats. He desires for us to be continuously encouraged by His grace, knowing we are safe in the family of our loving Father. This security motivates us to mature in our relationship with the Lord, and help others do likewise: “I write to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning.”1 John 2:13
