Terrorists had hijacked the plane and landed it thousands of kilometres from their intended destination. Their captors waved assault rifles in the air and threatened to kill them if their government failed to release political prisoners.

How thrilling when an impossible mission became possible and the hostages were radically freed from impending doom.

This is illustrative of what Paul is teaching in Romans 12:14-21, especially verse 21, which is the focus of this message. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
