The Strangest Prayer in the Bible

Simon Peter was being obedient to the Lord by going out fishing again after a long night of unproductive work. He was obedient by submitting to the call of Christ to return yet another time to the work of fishing. He however was reluctant. He truly did not grasp the reason for his obedience until the bounty of the catch. He was obedient but only in the flesh, not in Spirit. We too are often obedient only in the flesh. Only when we are obedient by the Spirit's working can we too pray with Peter "Go away from me Lord; I am a sinful man!"
