The sovereign grace of God in the revelation of Christ in salvation. To whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed? Sinners do not just come to God of their own will or choosing.
Christ despised and rejected of men
The spiritual condition of all men as the fallen and gone astray-none righteous.
The imputation of the sin of the elect to Christ
The suffering of Christ on account of that imputation-Christ made sin-Christ made guilty of the sins of His people
The labor of Christ in rendering payment for the sins of His people
The satisfaction that Christ rendered in the payment of all the sins of His people.
The exaltation of Christ in the wake of His finished work.
Without imputation, full substitution/representation and satisfaction by Christ there is no gospel. This is the heart of the matter and heart of the salvation equation.
