Healing the Impotent Man at Bethesda

The object of our study this evening is the healing of an impotent man at Jerusalem who has been crippled for almost four decades. More importantly it was a miracle that led to the first resistance of Christ and would ultimately lead to rampant hatred and animosity toward the Lord of glory. The rediculous anger of the Sanhedrin against Jesus was stirred by the habit of our Lord of healing people on the Sabbath day. Religious traditions have frequently been the cause for people turning against God and doing ungodly acts.
