Tell me his name again

75

The Apostle Paul had a reason for writing these words here about our savior Jesus Christ. We need to see His supreme roll in our lives. Many of us fail to properly study the Bible because we miss seeing the purposes found there in. if we don't get this right we will find ourselves coming under greater influence of the world. But when we see His roll or purpose in our lives we will find ourselves being drawn closer to Him. As the image, or exact copy as the word means, of God we can get to know Jesus and thereby know God. Every verse is there for us to know Him and His supreme authority. We are shown His role in creation. “First born” does not apply as time but as rank. He has the first rank, all else is under his authority. He is eternally God and He sovereignty reigns over all things. The false religions of the world don't deny He existed but they do deny His deity. We have a responsibility to learn about Him, to know His deity. To learn what Paul taught the church at Colosse is of great importance. If we never learned anything about our spouse we would grow cold, indifferent, and lonely. The same can be said here about us learning or not learning more about Jesus. And repetition about Him is great thing. We should never come to the place where we are tired of hearing about Him, no matter how many times the same thing has been said.
