About My Father's Business: Growing Up with the Son - Message 1 - The Son of Mary in the Manger. In this first message we will follow the unfolding of God's plan to seek and save the lost. Starting with the first words of the Gospel given in Genesis 3:15, we will move briefly through the geneology of Jesus given in Matthew 1:1-16 to uncover "The Scarlet Thread of Redemption" as we how God worked through history to bring about the birth of His Son. We will also study a few of the prophecies given about the birth of the Messiah that Jesus fulfilled and end with a review of the beloved Christmas Story from Luke 2, correcting a few popular myths about the Story and looking at how the birth of Christ glorifies God.
