Avoid Divisive People

Paul is winding down his letter to the Romans, coming down to the final doxology and the last Amen in vss 25-27. Right in the middle of a long list of names of people Paul wants to greet personally in Rome and another list of names of people in Corinth who want to join him in greeting them, Paul warns church members to avoid divisive people. Why here? And why now? Some think it is out of place to bring up this concern now. But I disagree. I think that as Paul saw in his mind the faces of those great saints in Rome whom he knew and loved, it was very natural for him to encourage them once more to maintain the unity of the Spirit...
