The great question to ponder when reading Genesis 4-5 is not who was Cain's wife, nor is it to determine how Methuselah managed to live to such a great age. These chapters describe the emergence of two different humanities, the one without God (Cain's) and the other with God (Seth's). The great question to ponder therefore is, to which do we belong?
