Overcoming the Natural

Be Of Good Cheer

Can I encourage you today? I encourage you not to wallow in what ain't, relish what is — that you can celebrate what can be.

Paul is a great example of this. The more aware we are of His presence, in everyday living, the more alert and active we are to celebrate the things of life and grace AND praise the presence of our Shepherd. Remember what He told Paul (Acts 23:11) and those struggling upon the sea of life, as the storms of the sea raged and beat against the boat they were in. He said:

"Be of good cheer — [it is I] — do not be afraid." (Matthew 14:27) Glory!!!

This principle is the same for Paul and the disciples in their storm. His presence, for us who believe, is the ONLY thing that separates us from cheerfully celebrating life or fearfully fretting over the daily troubles that rage against us on the sea of life.

So I encourage you — don't wallow in what ain't, relish what is — that you can celebrate what can be. Blessings…
