The God of Glory Appearing

This morning I would like us all to see the importance of learning from the history of how God called Abraham. I would like you to understand more about the doctrine of God’s Effectual and Irresistible Call when He saves a person. I want to set this forth to you by asserting to you that there are 2 things which this Effectual Call of God involves. 1st – The Effectual Call of God involves an appearance of the God of glory to the soul of the person being saved. (Verse 2) And then 2nd – The Effectual Call of God involves your becoming a citizen of the heavenly country. (Verses 3-5) I want you to examine your own heart and life as you hear about these things, and confirm in your own mind that you have been effectually called of God.
