When we do not yet know the will of God in a matter, God's revealed will commands us to continue to pray and not to give up, no matter how impossible the circumstances may be.

(I made a mistake at the beginning by saying that all sexual activity apart from a man and woman married to each other carried the death penalty, but there is one exception: when the couple was not married at all. The penalty of that was life-long marriage.)
