Genesis 49:16-27

Genesis 49 records the dieing words of Jacob. In these next 12 verses, he speaks of Dan, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, Joseph and Benjamin. This time, we pay special attention to his prophecies regarding Dan and this tribe's dissappearance as seen in Revelation 7 (replaced by Manasseh). Dan falls into image-worship with a priest that they call 'father' who takes a vow of poverty, lives in celibacy, etc. Sound familiar? And we also see the typology of Joseph confirmed in Jacob's prophecy regarding him and his offspring. This is a great study of God's word.
