Encouragement #2: We Have A Reliable Guide! (Part 1 of 2)
Series Esperanza Series
The apostle stated, in 1 John 5:19, 'the whole world lieth in wickedness.'
As Christians, we are only too conscious that we live in a world of sin.
We feel acutely the need of encouragement.
In this 'Esperanza' (Spanish word for 'hope') Series of messages, I want to emphasise some 'Encouragements for Christians Living in a World of Sin.'
In this second message the focus is on God's wonderful Word and how it is supported by the discoveries of Archaeology. While we do not need anything that comes to us from the end of the archaeologist's pick or spade to assure us that the Bible is the Word of God, it is nevertheless most satisfying to note how successive finds in the archaeological field provide proof of the accuracy of Scripture.
Therefore, it is most comforting - and inspiring - to know that in this world WE HAVE A RELIABLE GUIDE.
The audio on this page represents Part 1 of this subject and is an overview of Old Testament archaeology.
