[12/04/2022 AM] - "Reading Advent Signs Correctly, #1" - Mark 9:9-13

We gather to worship on the Lord's day - a preparatory Sunday - to have His Word put into our hearts, our offerings put into His hands, and our praise to reach His ears. In the morning we will come back to Mark at chapter 9.9-13 which will prove to be an excellent transition to our upcoming sermons remembering Christ's advent. May the Lord help us to hear and rejoice in His promises of our salvation.

Theme: Knowing what the Messianic signs say allows for sober reflection on Christianity

1. The Three had experienced elation, but now were reminded of the need for resurrection

2. The "church" is confused about humiliation, death, and exaltation

3. Elijah comes and restores through a call to repentance!

4. But then the Son of Man fulfills the Messianic mission
