Who Hijacked the Gospel?

The true Gospel of Christ has to do with sin and a Savior – not with all the imaginary mind games and cliches that are being taught and preached today as the "plan of salvation." The message of the true Gospel of the Bible demands repentance from sin unto a life of holiness. The message of the hijacked gospel is to "invite Jesus to come into your heart," or to "receive Jesus as your personal Savior," or to "Try Jesus." That's it! No turning from sin, and no expectation of righteous living after the profession of faith. This is not the Gospel! Sin is what has separated man from God, and any gospel that does not deal with that issue is a false gospel. It leaves people in their sin and therefore still at enmity with God, but with a deceived heart and a false hope. But not so with the true Gospel! It is the power of God unto salvation! It is not easily dismissed by sinners when it is preached in its truth!
