Dealing with Antichrists: No Welcome

In John's brief second epistle he warns of the pervasive presence of 'antichrists' in the church who are actively seeking to lead people astray. He gives two imperatives to the church, the first is to keep a watch upon themselves (this is dealt with in an earlier sermon in this series), the second is to deny welcome to all false teachers.

This sermon explores the context of 'showing hospitality' and demonstrates that there are ways in which churches today might endorse or commend false teaching by our action and attitude towards them.

We also consider whether John is setting aside the regular teaching of scripture regarding hospitality or whether this is an exception to the rule.
