18-William Butten Causes Trouble

Things were soon restored to the normal level of hardship aboard the Mayflower. After the storm gave way, the
usual movement of sailors in performance of their duties took place between decks. One morning, it happened that Justice and Prudence were, unusually for them, still below after most of the other passengers had gone above. Only John Howland was left with them, and he was lying in a corner. He was still very weak after his dreadful time in which he nearly drowned.
