While on the campus of UCLA, Tony handed Mehmet a gospel tract. Shortly thereafter, Mehemt came back and asked Tony some questions about distributing literature on campus. Tony transitioned the conversation to spiritual matters and learned that Mehmet, of Turkish descent, was a lapsed Muslim who had a hard time convincing himself he was a nihilist
