Christ as Prophet

The Lord Jesus Christ occupies and executes the office of Prophet by revealing to the church the will of God concerning salvation and sanctification. The central functions of a prophet are to speak on behalf of God and to explain the meaning of the Word of God. Jesus was the Prophet of God from all eternity, and He speaks forth the Word of God to the church throughout all the ages of man.
