Ephesians: Children & Parents

- V1: Being a "Child" is the time from nursing until the time when they move out on their own. This is the only commandment addressed directly to children recorded in the Bible.
- V2: First and only commandment from the ten commandments given in Exodus with a promise attached.
- V3: Teach children to be obedient which brings blessing and an easier life. A life of obedience is easier than a life of disobedience. Disobedience brings the child a life of hardship.
- V4: Fathers need to take a leading role in bringing up their children. Parents should not provoke their children to anger or discouragement, but to inspire and encourage them.
- Parents have a tremendous responsibility in raising children in accordance with Biblical principles.
