Biblical Counsel on Dating

Since the Bible does not deal with dating per se, various applicable principles are examined:

1. Be familiar with Biblical teaching on marriage - as marriage is the goal of dating, Christian young people ought to be familiar with Biblical teaching on marriage.
2. Date a Christian - an unequal yoke in marriage is forbidden, and in dating is foolish
3. Don't be an idolater - the desire for a relationship should never become idolatrous
4. Look for a loving leader
5. Look for a godly submissive woman
6. Look for godliness not glamour
7. Trust the Lord - in all things and in this matter in particular.
