Don't Be An Empty Shell!
Series Challenges To Today's Church
286
This is the commencement of a series of messages on Matthew 23 - widely known as the discourse in which our Lord rains down a succession of 'woes' on the heads of the scribes and Pharisees.
These words are readily applicable to those who represent the modern day apostasy ... but do they have any relevance to us? Could it even be the case that these scribes and Pharisees find a parallel in us?
The first four messages were delivered at the annual Week of Prayer in Londonderry FPC. I am grateful to Bruce Goettsche for sparking off the thoughts of application for these lines - and for highlighting many practical points in this chapter.
