"What's the big deal about pictures of Jesus? What harm is there in it? Don't they help to make you feel closer to God? Our kids especially can learn about Jesus a lot better if they have a drawing of Him. We know it isn't really what He looked like, but doesn't that help them to feel closer to Him, make Him to be a real person who actually lived and died for them?"

This sermon addresses that common argument and also analyzes the Roman Catholic Baltimore Catechism defense of images in worship vs. the Second Commandment.
