The timing of the Day of the Lord is not for us to know.
The Day of the Lord will mean different things for different people.
vv1-3 - Those who are unprepared for it.
vv4-11 - Those who are prepared for the Day of the Lord.
v2 The thief in the night
v3 The woman in labour
Destruction - eternal separation from God, and eternally suffering the wrath of God.
v3 Peace and safety - There can be no peace and safety for the unbeliever.
