Crowning the King of Kings
Series Lessons from Acts
Jesus Christ, from eternity a King, the Everlasting King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He who was and is divine, became flesh to dwell amongst those that in time He would die for. No earthly king or ruler has been, or ever will be like Him.
His ascension is described as like the Coronation of an earthly king or queen.
We are told something of what He is now doing in Heaven, how that He is much involved with concern for His people, the church. No detail of our lives is too small, such that He becomes disinterested in us. We, and indeed, the nations of the world are in His hands.
What difference does all this make? It helps us to retain our focus, it helps us to worship more meaningfully, and keeps us ‘looking upwards' for His promised glorious and certain return!
