Commissioned as Ambassadors for Christ

God's view of sin is very clear...it's wages deserve nothing more than death. But some types of sin He calls abominations. It is just these sins that the world is trying to tell us are not sin; and not only not-sin but actually a good part of God's created design; and not only a good part of God's design, but that it ought to be (and in many places - is) a crime to try to teach someone that there is mercy for those who believe in God's grace and allow Him to transform their hearts and minds.

Such laws are themselves criminal, for they fly in the face of the Loving God. They flout His mercy and diminish His grace and deny the power of godliness. They tell Christians that we should not proclaim the good news of salvation in Christ; we should not give sinners a reason for hope.

God loved us in this, that while we were still His enemies and sinners, Christ died for our sins. He came not for the self-righteous, but to save those who were in need of being healed from their sin.
