The Metal of the Tabernacle

As we covered the verses about the construction of the temple and its furnishings, Moses recounted those who were involved, Moses who was commanding, Ithamar that was accounting for what was collected, Bezalel who made all of the things and Aholiab who was skilled in engraving and weaving. Then an accounting is given of all the metal that was used in the tabernacle. More than a ton of gold was used. More than three times as much silver, most of which was used to keep the tabernacle grounded. Also, much bronze was used for the sockets for the pillar holding up the courtyard. The tabernacle was a heavy and substantial building with its furnishings, but God furnished everything they needed even though they were in the middle of the wilderness.
