Foretastes and fullness

The believer is sealed with the Holy Spirit: each Christian bears God's stamp. The Spirit is the guarantee of the inheritance, a foretaste to us of heaven. So what we enjoy of his operations now will be perfected in glory, and that which we enjoy in glory must be begun now. So what do we have here that we will find completed there, or what will we experience there that is started here? We consider confidence, knowledge, peace, joy, comfort, holiness, love, strength and life as those things in which by grace we progress, and which in glory will be perfected. Now we enjoy a true foretaste; then we shall receive the fullness.
