The World's Rebellion

More than a thousand years before Jesus was born, Israel's King David looked down the corridors of world history and declared the wonders of His reign:
This world has a king, God's anointed Sovereign, David sings in Psalm 2. And God has decreed the defeat of all rebellion against Him. This King is God's Christ, His own Son.
It is wise to submit to this King's authority because God has decreed His strong, benevolent rule over all the nations.
It's no wonder David sings incredulously of the folly of man's ongoing, calculated rebellion against God.
"Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing?" Psalm 2:1 (NKJV).
