The Great Revolt and the Great Throne

This is a difficult concept to teach and preach. But the Bible leaves no room for an "everyone-is-going-to-make-it" mentality. Such a mentality is universalism. There is no such thing as soul-sleep or an intermediate state called purgatory. There is no second chance and no annihilation of the wicked. There is only the first resurrection leading to eternal life or the second resurrection leading to eternal torment. If you refuse the work of Jesus Christ in this life, you will suffer direct infliction of misery, physical and mental, through the eternal fire spoken of here and by the Lord Jesus. And the smoke of their torment will ascend forever and ever. Such people will not have rest day or night (Revelation 14.11).
